I have a question; my girlfriend came to the US with a tourist visa in 2002 (now her visa is expired), so now I guess she is an ilegal alien, my question is: Is there anyway she can become a legal resident?

Hello,
I joined and contributed already to the IV although I am not yet on the GC queue. I support you all with my heart.
I have a different concern about PERM filing. My application will be EB2 with Ms + 4 years as Senior Soft Eng, and my lawyer asked my manager to create the business necessity letter for MS degree. He is not experienced with this kind of paperwork and the lawyer seems to be just not helpful rather demanding... I was wondering if somebody in IV had to deal with this business necessity letter. Any information would be helpful...

Here is a question for one of my friend
He is a July 07 filer and has I 485 pending for more than 180 days, has EAD and AP.
All through the years he has been on H1. however there is a gap of 40 days between change of employer on H1. (The H1 is approved after this gap of 40days) Is he in the status during this gap of 40 days because he has pending 485 and has valid EAD/AP?

Hi,
I need to get my H1B stamped in Mexico. I know there are some agencies which offer a complete package trip to the Mexico US Consulate. Does anybody know some names and contact information?
I am based in Los Angeles and am pretty close to Mexico border. Do they have something in Southern California? Other places are also Ok.

Hello Attorneys,
My company recently moved offices to a new location just a few miles from the old location. Its in an adjacent county but with in the same state. We moved from Northbrook, IL to Deerfield IL, does this warrant a change in LCA/H1B?

Has anyone traveled to India by Virgin Atlantic connecting to Jet Airways at London ?
The ticket is from Virgin Atlantic (through ticket, Jet is their Code Share) .
For baggage rules, Virgin website says --
"Any passengers travelling from India to the USA, (and vice-versa), with Virgin Atlantic for their entire journey, which involves a connecting flight via London Heathrow, will be entitled to an additional bag up to 23kg ."
I sent them an email before ticketing and they replied I am entitled to two piece.
When I contacted them after ticketing , they say I am entitled to one piece. Logic was London - Mumbai is by Jet Airways (but my argument is the ticket shows VS flight number).
Does any one have any experience ?

as long as your wages are more than the minimum written in flcdatacenter, you should be ok. they dont go over the lca with a toothcomb, infact it is computerized

We have applied for our 485 under EB2 I with a PD of Jun 2005 (I am primary and my wife is the dependent). We have maintained our H1B status though have used AP for travel.
Its time to renew my wifes H1B within the next few weeks. With all the talk of spillover and a remote chance that may be our 485 gets approved during the last quarter, i wanted to know if there would be any problem if our GC got approved while the H1B remained pending or worse the H1B got approved too around the same time the GC got approved. [i am hearing that it is taking a few months for H1 approval]
Is there an process that we need to follow - withdraw the H1B once we know that the GC got approved etc.
Also is there any problem with H1B renewal if AP has been used?
Any help wrt both these topics is appreciated.
